The Equinox is a small SUV with a modern structure and prominent exterior features, including Grazen metallic aluminum wheels, LED lighting, and a bold front grille. Other assistive functions in the new Equinox include Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear Park Assist, and Blind Zone Steering Assist.
Buckle to Drive blocks you from driving your Equinox until both front occupants have their seat belts fastened, while Rear Seat Reminder reminds you to check your back seat for sleeping children or pets before leaving the vehicle. The Equinox has a complete airbag system, including frontal bags, head-curtain bags, and seat-mounted side-impact bags. The new Equinox also comes with OnStar Basics to provide emergency assistance if you’re ever involved in an accident.
Mechanical
The Chevrolet Equinox has a 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission for smooth shifting. This combo achieves 175 horsepower and 203 lb.-ft. of torque.
