Heavy-duty work trucks have come a long way over the years. The 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500 HD Chassis Cab is a perfect example with multiple impressive features.
Powerful Engines
The Silverado 3500 HD Chassis Cab comes standard with a 6.6L V8 gas engine with 401 horsepower and up to 464 lb.-ft of torque. The Duramax 6.6L Turbo Diesel V8 engine is an available option. It gets a max available torque of 975 lb.-ft with 470 horsepower. Both come standard with an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission.
Made to Haul
The 3500 HD Chassis Cab was made for the heaviest jobs. It has a maximum payload of 7,306 pounds, in the regular cab 2WD. It has a max GCWR of 40,000 pounds with the Duramax 6.6L Turbo Diesel V8 engine. It has a 14,000-pound max GVWR. The Silverado 3500 HD Chassis Cab has an integrated trailer brake controller and Tow/Haul mode.
Multiple Configurations
When you invest in a work truck, it needs to help you, not hinder you. With the 3500 HD Chassis Cab, you have plenty of options to find the right fit and size. Choose between a regular cab and a crew cab. The regular cab can have a 60-inch or 84.5-inch cab-to-axle length, while the crew cab is 60 inches.
There are three available fuel tank configurations: front, rear, or combined. The maximum available capacity is 63.5 gallons.
Upfit Options
The customizations continue with three upfit options: utility, dump truck, and flatbed. All upfit equipment must be purchased from and installed by an independent supplier. The GM New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover upfits and other equipment from independent suppliers.
Available packages for other upfits include the Ambulance/Fire/Rescue Package and the Snow Plow Prep Package.
Built-In Technology
Today’s chassis cab trucks aren’t like your dad’s work truck. You get more than the bare minimum inside the cab. The 3500 HD Chassis Cab comes standard with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system with Google built-in compatibility with an available 13.4-inch touchscreen. It also has two standard USB ports. You can also use the myChevrolet mobile app.
OnStar Vehicle Insights
Using telematic equipment installed on the Silverado 3500 HD Chassis Cab, OnStar Vehicle Insights provides a wealth of information about your truck and drivers. This includes driver location, trip summaries, performance tracking, and vehicle health information. You can also use it for remote locking and unlocking and remote vehicle start. OnStar Vehicle Insights can be used to create custom alerts and a more efficient schedule for routine maintenance.
